In The Equalizer, Denzel Washington plays McCall, a man who believes he has put his mysterious past behind him and dedicated himself to beginning a new, quiet life. But when he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he finds himself face-to-face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters.

The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua and also stars Bill Pullman, David Harbour, Marton Csokas and Melissa Leo.
